Where are the Heavyweights?

Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, and Shane Mosley are all great fighters,

but where are the Heavyweights?  Can anyone name the top 3 heavyweights

of 2009?  Back in my day, that question was a NO brainer.  But sad to say,

to get the answer I had to GOOGLE it!  Right now your top 3 heavyweights

are... #1.  Wladimir Klitschko #2. Vitali Klitschko and #3. Alexander Povetkin.

Who the hell are they????  Boxing is one of sports most cherished

commodities, with a rich history of both colorful, and iconic figures.  Names like

Muhammad Ali, Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, and Larry Holmes are

examples of what I consider to be "True Heavyweights".  Who remembers when a

then 20 year old boxer named "Iron Mike Tyson"

became the youngest Heavyweight champion in history?

Or when the term "Real Deal" referred to a southern fighter born

Evander Holyfield?

Boxing at other weight classes over the years has been great!

Don't get me wrong, I would spend my hard earned $50

dollars on Roy Jones Jr. pay-per-view fights during the

late 90's and early 2000's.  But what is boxing without

REAL Heavyweights?  No one gets geared up for the

Heavyweights anymore.  I never thought I'd see the day

when middleweights would rule boxing.  No one

wants to admit it, but until there's another "Bigger than

Life Heavyweight champion".... Boxing will remain a only watch

when the big names clash kinda sport.  What's your thoughts?

How do you feel about the current state of Boxing's

Heavyweight division?
